I'm very pleased that my garden seems crawling with ladybirds. These little beetles are sacred to Freya, their colours of course are red white and black! It's a good sign as they will certainly be eating the pests and soon laying their eggs.

Below is a cold frame I built using recycled materials. I have three clear plastic sheets which cover the top and keeps the heat in. All the seeds sown here are heritage open pollinating seeds.

 As mentioned in my previous post - I've taken out my raised beds and I'm going to trial the no dig method. This plot is a lot bigger than the original 6 x6 bed. Mange Tout is growing well already.
